Proofed is designed with your privacy in mind. By default, your bake timelines, sourdough starter data, and experiment logs are stored securely and locally on your device using Apple's native SwiftData framework. We do not maintain user accounts or require you to log in to use the core features of the app.
When you use the "Rate My Crumb" or "Verify Dough State" features, the image you select is transmitted securely to our AI partner (OpenAI) for evaluation. These images are processed transiently for the sole purpose of generating your scorecard and feedback. Proofed does not store your photos on our servers.
We use RevenueCat to securely manage App Store subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymous identifiers and purchase history to provide this service. We do not have access to your credit card information or Apple ID details.
Because your primary data is stored locally on your device, it remains under your control. If you delete the Proofed app from your device, your local database will be permanently deleted by iOS.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
